How the ferry to Thassos works

Thassos is connected to mainland Greece by two ferry routes. The main one is Keramoti to Thassos Town (Limenas), with 38 departures a day in summer and a crossing of 35 to 40 minutes. The second is Kavala to Skala Prinou, with 5 departures a day and a crossing of roughly 75 minutes.

Four operators run the routes: Thassos Ferries, Thassos Link, Thassos Seaways and Aneth Ferries. There is no online booking. Tickets are issued at the port booths and boarding follows strict arrival order, so allow 45 to 60 minutes in summer if you are taking a car. The timetable on this page is updated every Monday from the operators' official weekly schedules.

Yes, all port ticket booths have POS terminals and accept payments with all bank cards.

How long before departure should I arrive at the port?

Especially during the summer months, you should arrive at the port at least 45-60 minutes before departure, as strict boarding priority is enforced.

How long does the journey take?

The Keramoti – Thassos Town route takes approximately 35-40 minutes. The Kavala – Skala Prinou route takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
